Investigating using the figure skater as an expressive musical interface through artistic research
S.K.A.T.E. / G.L.I.D.E. asks: what happens when a skater’s body becomes the instrument itself? When rotational speed controls vocal stretch, when blade pressure shapes organ registration, when a jump’s arc writes a score?
The project spans live performance, audiovisual composition, game design, and technological research. It operates as an open platform, inviting skaters, technologists, composers, poets, and designers into an ongoing investigation of embodied sound.
